Money challenges with ADHD are incredibly common. Handling money is intertwined with so many prevalent ADHD symptoms that it’s presumed you’ll struggle at some point.
Whether it’s:
- underearning (something we’ll explore further in a future episode),
- procrastinating on everything from paying bills to filing taxes,
- lacking structure,
- disorganization, or
- impulsive spending
…money struggles are something nearly all of us with ADHD will have to face at some point.
This week, we continue the conversation we began last week and work on a simple, ADHD-friendly approach to begin making peace with money.
Dear Dana and David,
I love your podcast!
I discovered it not long ago but I listened to many episodes already. Your dynamic is great, the podcast lasts just the right amount of time and is full of useful tips.
I’m a student, struggling to finish my studies because of my master’s thesis, It seems like I cannot get it done, hopefully this extra year will be enough.
I am actually waiting to start a diagnosis so I don’t know yet if I do have adhd but I try to look up as much things as possible to understand this great difference better, I’ve been doing that since June and my first appointement is in July so your podcast is definetly helping with the wait!!
(A psychologist advised me to look into adhd, I would have never realized it myself as I had a very stereotyped idea of what adhd is.)
Dana thank you for sharing your experience, I checked the success club website (you’ve been helping adhd adults since I was one year old!!!), I will happily go back there when I have an actual job, for now the podcast is helping lots already.
Also, I admire you a lot for what you acheived.
David, thank you for being so relatable and for having the strength of being vulnerable in front of an audience. Your testimony of life with adhd helps me understand lots of things.
Kind Regards,
Eléonore
PS: Also, “We digress… again” should be printed out on mugs and T-shirts and up for sale haha
