The holidays can be really hard on people with ADHD. There are loads of “shoulds” and “gottas,” extra tasks, activities, and pressures that pile up on top of lives that might already be running on the edge.
How can we make the holidays more enjoyable and less stressful?
In this week’s candid conversation, each of us shares about our own experiences with the holidays. And Dana provides some helpful food for thought about how to navigate through all the extra things the season can bring with it, starting with 3 important questions that will help set you up for success!
Along the way, we talk about some of the biggest holiday hazards for those of us with ADHD:

- unrealistic expectations
- unequal distribution of labor
- procrastinating
- failing to plan / waiting until the last minute

About halfway to the venue, I told my husband, “I REALLY don’t want to do this. Can we just go bowling?” A new tradition was born and I haven’t been to holiday office party since- no matter how much I like the folks I work with!
