What personal data we collect and why we collect it
In the process of serving requests that you make for pages, images, audio files, and other content from our website, our web servers automatically recognize your IP address and other key information about your web browser and/or other device or software you use to make requests. Your IP address does not reveal anything personal about you to us. We use this information to examine our traffic in aggregate, and to investigate misuse of KickSomeADHD.com, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement. We do not collect and evaluate this information for specific individuals. Our Web servers do not automatically record e-mail addresses of the visitors.
Subscriptions
If you choose to subscribe to our podcast via one or more third-party podcast apps, data about you may be collected by the provider(s) of that app (or those apps). Please view the privacy policy(-ies) of the provider(s) to understand what data they may collect about you.
If you choose to subscribe to emails from us via our website, including automated emails notifying you about new episodes of our podcast, we collect the data requested on the subscription form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
If you fill out a contact form, we collect the data requested in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Additionally, we use a service operated by RawVoice Inc, to measure downloads of our podcast episodes. This service, known as Blubrry Podcast Stats, helps us understand certain characteristics about the number of times each episode of our podcast is downloaded and/or streamed, and certain anonymous and aggregate information about the individuals who download our episodes. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or otherwise share your data with any third-parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Service Providers:
We do use third-party services providers to fulfill requests you make from us, including delivering audio files, email subscriptions, and responses to comments and contact forms you have submitted via the website.
Audio files related to episodes of our podcast are stored on and delivered to your device(s) by Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) via their Cloudfront and Simple Storage Service (“S3”) offerings. You may view the AWS privacy policy at: https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/.
We currently utilize Mailchimp to service any email subscriptions. Your name, email address, IP address, and similar information will be shared with them for the purposes of sending messages to you in accordance with your email subscription request(s), if any. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, fill out a contact form, or subscribe to emails, the data collected and its metadata are retained indefinitely. In the case of comments, this is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. In the case of contact forms and email subscriptions, this is so that we can respond to you, provide the subscription(s) you have requested (if any), and honor your preferences about email communications, both now and in the future.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

What third parties we receive data from
We receive data about visitors to our website and about individuals who download and/or stream the audio files we produce from Google (in connection with the Google Analytics service), RawVoice Inc. (in connection with the Blubrry Podcast Stats service), and from various podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and others. In all of the above cases, data we receive from these third parties does not contain personally identifiable information about any individuals.
We receive data about our email subscribers from Mailchimp. This includes information about how you interact with our email messages, your current email subscription preferences, and more. This data is, by its nature, associated with your email address.
